Rainbows 

4-7 years

At Rainbows, we welcome all girls to play, learn and have fun in a creative, safe space for all abilities.

Brownies

7-10 years

At Brownies, we welcome all girls to share their creative side, get out into the great outdoors and start to learn to look after themselves, others and the world we live in.

Guides

10-14 years

At Guides, all girls are welcome to enjoy our fun-filled space, where she’ll make good friends, learn to be herself, explore what she loves and do stuff she has never done before!

Rangers 

14-18 years

Rangers is an open and relaxed space for you to hangout with good friends. You have the chance to meet up regularly, go on trips at home and abroad, to help make a difference to the things you care about.

Young leaders and Inspire Members 

14- 18 years and 18-30 years

Being a young leaders allows girls to support the running of the unit and develop their leadership skills. 
Inspire is a section for 18-30's who are volunteering in units to still have the fun associated with guiding

All sections operate thanks to Volunteers and we always need more - from running the unit, to helping to organise activities, to accounts and website management - There is a role for you -please get in touch to learn more

Camp and Outdoor Equipment

Armadillo Self Storage in Stoke have kindly provided us with a 75sq ft room to store our camp and outdoor equipment in and although this sponsorship has now ended we would like to say a big thank you to Nina and her team for the support given to us previously.

Our Division Girlguiding Stoke on Trent North has been approved for Amazon smile and would like you to help donate money to them when doing your shopping on Amazon. Please go to your settings and select ‘Guide Association’ and then ‘Girlguiding Stoke on Trent North’ and each time you shop they get a donation and it costs you nothing.

FAQ

Do girls have to attend all sections. 

Girls do not have to been in Rainbows to go to Guides. At present there are spaces in all sections and the leaders are happy for girls to join any age appropriate section as they wish.

How often do you meet.

Weekly unit meetings take place in term time and there are trips and holidays from time to time but they are not compulsory for your daughter to attend.

Can I volunteer to be a leader 

Yes. We are all volunteers and are happy for other people to join us. Please contact to discuss - DBS is needed together with references and Safeguarding Level 1 as well as training which is provided.

When can my daughter start 

Please get in touch and we will arrange the most appropriate time. 

All three sections have spaced would love new members to join us then.

New volunteers are also welcome at any time to undertake what ever role they are prepared to commit to - training is provided

Meetings

7th Hanley Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Rangers are 4 units within Girlguiding Forest Park District, which is in Girlguiding
Stoke on Trent North Division, that is in Girlguiding Staffordshire County, Girlguiding Midland Region and the wider Girlguiding UK organisation. 
Girlguiding UK sits within the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

Monday Rainbows girls aged 5 -7 years

Tuesday - Brownies girls aged 7 -10 years

Tuesday - Guides girls aged 10 -14 years

Last Tuesday of the Month - Rangers girls aged 14-18 years  

Volunteer support in all sections both in and outside of the meetings would be gratefully received
